Willow Clouds
2022
Acrylic Painting
This art piece was one that was very hard to make because of how close the subject was to me. The background has purple tinted clouds to symbolize my late cat, Lily. The wings represent her passing, and she represents herself. I used new techniques to paint her, having never painted a cat before, and learned more along the way. I hope that whoever looks at this piece thinks of any pet they have or have ever had, and how much they are loved.

Framed
2021
Acrylic
I made this piece because I felt like it really related to me and how I view myself. Using the frames really helped me show how I feel framed by myself and others. Using the huge difference in color also helped me to establish the differences in the parts of the piece.

Gender Euphoria
2021
Collage
This piece was made to show how wonderful gender euphoria feels. There can be many different parts of someone’s identity, and I wanted to show mine. Using the yin and yang symbols, I portrayed the feminine and masculine sides to myself.

Untitled
2022
Acrylic on canvas
This piece was made to show how the environment becomes us no matter how far away we are from it. I made this piece because I found it to be a very important message to communicate. I enjoyed working on this piece. Although it remains untitled, I wanted it’s message to shine through. The colors and symbols were very important in finishing this piece.

Faded Imagination
2022
Mixed Media
This piece is called “Faded Imagination.” I made this artwork to show how childlike imagination can fade over time, and will eventually be gone completely. The paint chips are supposed to show the way imagination is ending. I made this artwork during a time when I was struggling with motivation and creativity, and found a way to show that through an artwork.

Out Of Balance
2022
Watercolor
This piece is titled “Out Of Balance” because of the balancing act I do every day when it comes to gender expression and roles. This piece is supposed to show how the “standard” isn’t always applicable in real life. This piece is very important to me because it helps me better understand myself. The individual elements such as color and shape help convey different meanings or interpretations as not everyone will see this the same.

Body
2022
Acrylic
The piece “Body” was made with myself in mind. I used body types more similar to mine in this piece in an effort to show the viewer and myself how every body is beautiful and unique. The texture in the piece allows for a far away but also very close view on the people in the image. I’m very glad I made this piece, and I hope every viewer takes something different away.

Nature’s Death
2022
Mixed Media
This piece was made as a silent protest against the things society tells us we have to do to be beautiful. What makes us natural and human is constantly stripped away, and I wanted this piece to show how horrible that is, and that there is beauty in what’s natural.

Space Cadet
2022
Digital
This piece was intended to promote body positivity, no matter what your body type is. It shows how plus-size people can be and are beautiful too. Making this piece helped me express how being the size I am makes me feel.

Untitled

Acrylic
This piece was originally for a drawing contest, but the way it turned out was cool enough I decided to include it. It was supposed to show how "different" people struggle throughout the holidays, specifically Christmas.
